A lesson on patience and understanding
This is a guest posting, not written by me. It is a good illustration of how we often see things from our own viewpoint. Some times, we need to step back and walk a mile in some shoes or direct traffic in a construction zone. Now, read for yourself.
Wednesday , 9-21-05 : Jeff leaves office at 8:35 for a 9:00 meeting atRuhlin's office. At approximately 8:38, Jeff is stuck intraffic goiing north on Lauby Rd just before the 4-way stop. There are 20cars in front of Jeff attempting to turn right to get onto I-77. For a few moments traffic is movingwell. However , for some unexplained reason , all lanes are movingexcept for Jeff's lane, the right lane going northbound on Lauby. Soon, all lanes are emoty exceptJeff's.Jeff starts to feel the rage. Jeff honks his horn but this doesn't help. Next, Jeff get out of the car and pointangily at his wristwatch, again to no avail. The flagperson seems toignore Jeff calls ruhlin to let them know hewill be late. We all know how Jeff hates to be late. Finally, at 9:10 Jeff';s lane begins tomove. At approximately 9:13 Jeff passes the flagperson( fat woman). Jeffwinds his window down and yells,"Get a new job. You don't know whatyou're f****** doing"
HOW DOES THE FLAGPERSON RESPOND? SEE BELOW.
" GO to hell you punk" The nerve!
