Too far left for me!!

It's hard being a conservative, but it is what I am. Where do I start? Here are some random thoughts:

  • Obama, 1st 100 days - I give him a AAAA rating. The 1st A is for Abortion. Let's not doing anything to protect the unborn who have never sinned. The second A is apology tour. America is the great Good in the world. Appeasement for terrorist. Let's play nice and others will respond in kind. Like we are to blame for the action of terrorists! All insane to me. The Fourth A is arogance. Enough said.
  • I was watching some Feminist lady talking to Laura Ingraham trashing Miss California - trade her fake breast for a heart! Laura was right - feminist will speak up for injust attacks if in line with their views. This is a telling tale.
  • Obama motors (e.g Chrysler). So the bond holder (i.e. people who put their money at risk for Chrysler gets 10% of Chrysler, the governoment 35% and the union 55%? I guarentee you one thing, I'll never buy a Chrysler again. And yes, I was very loyal to Chrysler.
  • City of Columbus - raise income tax by 0.5% because we've done all we can do. Does anyone believe that?
  • Hate Crime bill - Why are only certain category of people allowed to be a victim of a hate crime? How about if a black men beats or murders their white girlfriend? Is this never hate? This hole concept is so wrong!
  • Jesus - help me and the USA. You are the light! Help my parents in their daily lives. Thank you for my family, my great wife, siblings, kids, grandkids and friends at work and retired.
  • How about Jamie Foxx blasting Miley Cyrus! Insane!
  • There are a lot of good people in this world.
  • My golf game is struggling - no confidence in short game.
  • Thanks to all the folks who took the time to join in the tea bag protests.

20 miler

Hi all,
Ran a 20 miler yesterday starting at the Westerville athletic center. The weather was A-OK and there was plenty of supply stops - water, gatorade, etc along the way. I ran OK. I ran a 8:30 minutes/mile pace and finished in 2:49:50. (7 miles at 1 hour, 14 miles at 1:59:30) I am a little sore today but not bad. Three more weeks till the Columbus marathon.

Politics: Lots of political commercials on TV. I am growing to really dislike a couple of folks on the 'D' side of the aisle.

1/2 Marathon

Hi all,
I ran a 1/2 marathon this morning. It started and ended at Dublin's Jerome high school. The course was through the Glacier park, 1st time I was there. I didn't really like the course, it had too many 'up and back' loops for me. It was so, so, humid... Ugh! I was soaking wet with sweat from about 5 miles on. My shoes still aren't dry. I finished in 1:54 which was OK when all things are considered. It was humid, I ran 16 miles last Sunday and was not rested.

I believe my saving grace was the 2 power gel packs that I brought with me. I had one at 4 and the the other at the 8 mile mark. They really seem to keep me going. I walked through several water/gatorade stops.

Next race is in 9/24 - a 20 miler.. I am praying for a cooler, less humid day.

Godless - The religion of Liberals

Hi all,
Just completed the above mentioned book. Here are some short comments:

  • Ann Coulter does great research
  • Great sarcasim. Real funny stuff.
  • I thought the Michael Dukakis information was great as was the real story on Willie Horton. The Liberal press really twists the facts.
  • Ann is pro-life, anti-abortion, as am I. The pro-abortion advocates can not hide under the pro-choice banner for their goal is to destroy life. Clinton would not support any restructions on killing the unborn.
  • Darwin's theory on evolution is full of holes, one example, is the evolution from a cell whatever to a seeing person. God created man and mankind.
  • even before Ann pointed out the political 'Jersy girls' from 9-11, I was already 'pissed off' at them and the media for making their tradegy into a political statement. They are activists and should not be coddled because of their husbands deaths. PS. Cindy Shehan is also a jerk..
  • The liberal media does really suck...
